Morecambe, Lancaster, UK

What do you do if you go for work to UK in winter? If you ask me, there are not too many options for walking, unless you like walking in the dark. The sunset was around 4.00 pm and I got out invariably after that.

Saturday was the only free day for me and I had grand plans for it. Even though the Cumbria region was in floods I was told that I could go up to Windermere. But before that I wanted to take a peak at Morecambe and the Lancaster Canal. I had a weekly bus pass that would take me easily to Morecambe in 15 minutes. I decided that I would go to Windermere after that short bus ride.
But that was before I started walking along the canal at Lancaster. I saw a footpath that said Morecambe- 3 miles! Now why take a bus if you can walk?
So walk I did and found the path full of birds, twittering away to glory. That was the only day when the sun was out and I did not take out the umbrella even once. But then walking and clicking birds (particularly trying to click birds) took a lot of time, and there was no time for Windermere later.
Still, I have no regrets. I throughly enjoyed my walk.

Kumbh, thank you.Sandeep, what is a little rain or cold weather if we wish to explore.Nilesh that is Kai. At high tide the water comes over the rocks. That is what I was told and hence the Kai.

Lakshmi, I had no option this time! It was going out in the cold weather or sitting in the hotel room.
