My full article about the Kanha National Park/Taj Safari Lodge (in collaboration with the African firm & Beyond) is now up at Gonomad-
I saw Gaurs (resembles a bison), cheetals (a type of deer), peacocks and
even wild boars but there was no sign of the elusive tiger. At one particular
road Alger and the park ranger got quite excited as they saw the pug marks of a
tiger and they tried to track it.
Great ! Great ! Great !Jungle mein mor naacha, kisne dekha ?:)
Mridula,do you know of any other good budget hotel/lodge near Kanha. i plan to visit after this mansoons.6 months back, I visited Jabalpur. did not went to Kanha now missing the opportunity.that region is full of Jungles, quite green and calm.PS: You asked for photos of my US visit. did not click many. i was having very hectic schedule and no weekends. moreever this was my 3rd trip to same place so was not enthu as well for sight seeing.
just read your article, mridula, loved it… yes, just a jungle experience itself is great, even if we dont see the king, but there are few who realise that, more the pity!
Hobo :DNilesh, I was told that there are a lot of hotels at Kisli gate and fewer and more expensive ones at Mukki gate where this lodge is. Hope this helps a little. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Anu. I had read that post by Arun a long time back and it stuck as very true to me even then. Tiger ot no tiger, the jungle is beautiful.
Amazing…jungle experience..
Thank you Debalina, it indeed was a wonderful trip.
