I did some crazy things in Lapland (Finland) this time. At Levi where we stayed the temperature was always in minus, from -22 to -1! So, the Finns enjoy sitting in a sauna because it is cold and they took us there too. But for some crazy reason they like taking a dip in ice water in between. Now if they could do it, how can we be left behind? So, I also took a dip in icy water and ran back to the sauna. However we were still not content. We had to go making snow angels.
This basically means lying down in snow in your bathing suites and flapping your arms and legs so that the impression in the snow looks like an angel after you get up and run for your life. There are no pictures or video (and that is why it was easy to post it) but I wish you could hear us scream as we make snow angels!
Boy I was glad to get inside the steaming sauna after this adventure! My feet felt numb for quite sometime even in the sauna. It was for the central heating that I came out alive from this trip. That and the excellent winter gear the Nokia people gave us. It made all the difference.

Wow! I could run outside in the snow from sauna but I’d skip the dip in the cold water and the angels in the snow. LOL.
