For quite sometime now, I have been wondering if I should mix some of my academic stuff on this blog. You see, I have started using data from travel Internet Message Boards for academic purposes. And it has been a fascinating exercise. I mean I get to spend time on the internet reading about travel and do some research too! I think I will write more on this.
Looking forward to that…:)
Travel and Academics? what subject to you teach Mridula?
Yea that’d be interesting. As long as it is not discussing the rate of third order reversible reactions and their equilibriums 😛
Thanks for the encouragement Sidhu.Ajeya, I formally teach HR but if you ask my research interest it is travel and user generated content on the internet!Priyank, no I like the story telling way much more! But before the research a break is approaching fast.
It will be interesting to know how individuals and families define their perfect vacations. . Big cities/ Away from chaotic human population/ Monuments & Historical places. Sip exotic drinks and do NOTHING/ Shopping/ Explore surroundings/ Hiking. Beaches/ Mountains. Luxury accommodation/ Need a room with clean bed and bathroom. Sumptuous food/ Don’t want to waste time on n-course meals/ Try local cuisine. Long drive/ Fly/ Train. Photography (and Video)/ I get annoyed by those pesky photographers. Top 5 dream destinations – country and cityI am sure individual v/s family responses will be very different. Why don’t you create a poll?
Atu, thanks a lot for the suggestion. but right now I am heading for a break!! That I believe I desperately need.
I feel you can start a different blog altogether for academic matters…
Because mixing two entirely different subjects can confuse the reader…
Srinidhi, it is impossible to maintain more than one blog for me. But then for the past few weeks I could hardly blog about anything! I will keep your suggestion in mind though.
