My First Ever Scuba Dive at Havelock

Posted on October 10, 2011

How do you put in words the experience of my first scuba dive at Havelock? I don’t know how but I am still going to try. I spent a week in Port Blair and Havelock. I came back to reality just yesterday. I had more nights at Port Blair and less at Havelock but that…

The Cemetery at Mussoorie

Posted on September 25, 2011

The last time I went to Mussoorie it was on invitation from Ilbert Manor. On one of my walks on the Camel Back Road, I passed through the Mussoorie Cemetery. It had a small white gate marking the entrance. I 100% agreed with the notice outside. I do not like plucking flowers and I…

Dehradoon Railway Station

Posted on September 1, 2011

I am very fond of train journeys. But to think of it I think I like journeys because I am equally fond of bus and air travel too! The travel these days is I can’t stay awake on most of these trips. I am usually so tired that whatever is the scenery I can…

Posted on August 15, 2011

It is our Independence Day today but I am posting these Tricolors from the Anna Hazare’s Jantar Mantar rally. I support his cause against corruption. Wish I had been at the Raj Ghat today where he sat impromptuĀ or at the JP Park where he may protest tomorrow. But it won’t be. Not possible this…

Ilbert Manor, Mussoorie- The Corner that I Loved Most

Posted on July 10, 2011

When I reached the Ilbert Manor late in the afternoon, I was quite zonked because of the Avomine (anti nausea medicine for mountain roads). I was quite quickly given the keys of my room and I headed to the second floor of the two story building. This was the view that greeted me. I completely…

It has been a Long Day

Posted on June 29, 2011

Went to the UK visa Gods today at Nehru Place, they at least took my application. And they are efficient. Then I had to go to Chandni Chowk to get the sensor dust removed from my camera and the zoom lens repaired. Left at around 12.00 noon and came back at 9.30 at night. Tired….
