A Magical Evening and More at Novotel Guwahati

Posted on August 28, 2024August 28, 2024

I am a fan of Accor hotels. I have been invited to them previously as a blogger. But I stay with them on personal trips too like the one to Guwahati. I decided to stay at the Novotel Guwahati, This was last year as Chhavi was playing a tennis tournament out there.

We settled in our spacious room, which we loved. Rest came first as we were tired after the flight. We got a good rest!

As we were admiring the welcome basket and sampling things, a light rain started outside! When it subsided, the sky was inviting us to the terrace of the Novotel Guwahati Hotel!

We were greeted by this magnificent rainbow as we arrived at the rooftop of the Novotel Guwahati. But that was not all.

The sky was putting up a show in every direction and we were spoiled for choice to click pictures. The sky can add such a charm to any city if it decides to do so!

The drama continued as the sky started getting darker! Chhavi and I kept running from one side to the other to see what was happening!

And what to say of the time when there is still light in the sky and the city lights start to glimmer too! I absolutely love this combination!

We were still tried as we arrived a few hours before in the city but there is no doubting the joy of the magic that Guwahati put up on our first evening in the town!

We ate our breakfast and many meals in the main dining area of the hotel! It is large, and the buffet had plenty of choices!

In any hotel, I am quick to find the tea corner and become friends with the people who serve tea. Novotel Guwahati was no exception.

Chhavi got along with the staff well. By the end of our trip, we had many a pleasant conversations. Most of the staff was local but a few of them came from Shillong too.

On this trip I clicked the lobby at the end, after settling the bill. I was waiting for our taxi to the airport. Overall, we had a really good time at the Novotel Guwahati. As I said at the beginning of the blog, this was a personal trip and I paid for everything. I would love to go back to the hotel sometime in the future!
