The structure in the picture houses a water based grinding wheel at Shringi Vatika. When they release the water, it is fun to watch the wheels turning, a silly video but still I thought I will share.
Your posts reminded me of my trip back there in 2005. I stayed for a day at Shringi Vatika…. You must hav enjoyed ur stay there..

The same mechanism can and is used for producing electricity on a small scale, in Himachal Pradesh.
