Lazy Sunday Photo- Nimbu Pani Pot at the Road Side

Posted on April 11, 2010
Road side lemonade stall in Gurgaon India
It Looks so Colorful!

In the summers in the North India you will find people selling nimbu pani (lemonade) on the road side, the quality of the water is suspect though. So, I have avoided them always but they make for such a colorful picture!

They do…but better avoid them..but don’t u think hotels should serve in earthen tumblers..means natural cooling is so good.

Tarun, not sure if I have seen it at hotels, and anyway I have not been anywhere in ages 😀

    Thanks Ramesh.

Janit there are stories behind it, search mridula and plagiarism on Google sometime.

Anu I agree they beat the fridge but I have not used them in ages.

Thank you Akhila, they are quite common in the north during the summers.

Mridula: Is it Nimbu-Paani or “Panaa” (पना)? “Panaa” is sour green drink made from pulp of green mango (amiyaa) and mint. Did you just take a photo or bought a glass of Nimbu-Paani (or Panaa) for yourself – ever tried this stuff? Enjoyed panaa (not Nimbu-Paani) from street vendors when I was a kid… It was my favorite summer drink.
