Vulture Picture

Posted on August 19, 2009

Vulture at Orchha
I know the picture is tilted but I also had to twist and turn to get a closer look at the magnificent vulture who was perched right at the very top of one of the domes at the Jahangir Palace. I like this picture!

The tilt in the cenotaph makes me feel it is about to fall. And that there has been lots of destruction already. The vulture is eying the ground keenly and will take flight just as this last piece of brick and mortar falls down!

I like this photo too. He's preening and actually trying to look good! Who would believe it … a narcissistic vulture!Or is he just trying to figure out whether you're good enough for a meal?

What a great picture! Such a close up look at a vulture. I must say, I've never seen one in such detail. I like the twist of the whole image. Nice!

Love it! The square format really suits the image and the tilt makes it look as if the bird is atop the crow's nest of a ship! 🙂
