Travels in the Year of Unusual!

Posted on July 24, 2015February 14, 2022

It has been a while since I quit my job! The year seems unusually long! It feels like another era when I went to Chhattisgarh, the first trip of this year! How do I feel? It is too early to say really, but I have been having a blast! And I forgot to update on my travels after March. As it is Skywatch Friday today, I present you skies from all my travels after March.

Thailand (with Tourism Authority of Thailand)

Bangkok, Thailand

This was my incredible fifth trip to Thailand! It was extra special because I was attending Songkran, the water festival of Thai New Year! I was quite amazed to see how easy it was to join in the fun! It was a public festival where you could safely enjoy with the crowd!

Goa (with Goa Tourism Board)

Miramar Beach, Goa

It is always fun to go to Goa! While I love beaches (after mountains) this trip was about discovering the beautiful houses of Goa and good food.

Sai Vishram Beach Resort with Byndoor (On Invitation)

The Backwaters and Sea Meet at Byndoor

I have never seen sea and backwater meet before. I was not ready to believe that someone can run a beach resort which is vegetarian and doesn’t serve alcohol! But they do and do it wonderfully!

The Trek with Chhavi (Personal Trip)

Sunset at Jamadi, Himachal Pradesh

It is fun to trek with Chhavi. I was just asking her why does she likes trekking? She told me, I like it but I don’t know why. Just write, “I love you trekking.” And I think it just about sums it up adequately!

Kumarakom Lake Resort (On Invitation)

The Landing at Kochi

Kumarakom Lake Resort is fit for royalty, indeed Prince Charles stayed there for his 65th birthday! I spent a wonderful time with them, it was so beautiful it was almost unreal.

So this has been the journey so far in 2015! I hope the travel trend will continue for the rest of the year too!

I like the shots out the plane window! Was just on a plane yesterday, but aisle seat. A guy a couple rows up was taking lots of pics out his window… next time I need to request a window seat!!

Peter I always go for web check-in to get a window seat or else I sulk through the flight!

Lovely pics, and my favourite would have to be the one from Jamadi, Himachal. Here’s wishing you many more travelsome days and skywatch moments in the remaining months of the year 🙂
