I have been extremely lucky to visit Thailand 4 times by now! I have collected a decent amount of pictures. I have tried to out in in a video now. Do check out my Thailand video below. Enjoy. And if you have any tips about improving the video, let me know. While all the memories are really special, some truly stand out.
Of all the countries I have been to, Thailand is poised to become my most visited country till date. And I simply love the place.
The orchids, the gentle people, the quirky things like pink eggs, watching the video makes me so nostalgic!
Till date I have been to Bangkok on my every trip! I am not big on shopping but Bangkok in particular and Thailand in general turns me into a person who likes to shop!
Thailand gives me the space to be gentle. Please are really nice and I have never been pushed around walking there. That adds to the charm of the country for me.
I also love the orchids I encounter in Thailand. I may find them in posh places like hotels or restaurants or I may find them growing in a coconut shell hanging from a tree. Either way I love them!
Even though I am a vegetarian I love Thai cuisine. It is a bit strange that I do not like extra spicy food in spite of being an Indian but then I like the flavors that spices add. Thailand has food that can be as spicy as you want but even if you are like me, the food is flavor filled. The restaurants are happy to adjust the spice level to your preference.
As a tourist Thailand has decent facilities. All the important tourist places will have clean restrooms. The road networks are functional. Bangkok gets its famous traffic jams but then most of the capital cities of the world are the same now! Outside Bangkok traffic jams are not such a problem.
These are just a few reasons why I love Thailand.
Amazing photos!
Thank you Moon.
Mridula-ji,
I stumbled upon one of the responses given by you to someone about the air terminals at Delhi. What amused me was your ‘tag line’: “Sair kar duniya ki…”
This is my wife’s favorite and oft-repeated sher. May I venture to correct it a little: it is ‘Ghafil’ not ‘Ghalib’. Old horse Ghalib had nothing to do with it!!! Ghafil seems to mean a person with a bit of leisure time.
I am sure your know the continuation:
Sair kar duniya ki ghafil, zindagani phir kahan,
Zindagani bhi rahi toh nau-jawani phir kahan!!
I liked your blogs. More so, I liked your spirit of adventure. Having travelled quite a bit ourselves, we admire people of similar dispensation.
You are very welcome to correspond with me.
