St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on November 1, 2011

I have recently done quite a few trips (by my standards) and have not written any detailed trip logs! So all the trips are getting merged into one another in my head. Time to sort it out and I would start with the latest trip first. Actually I am a bit surprised that I did…

Skywatch Friday- Skies from Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on September 22, 2011

For today’s Skywatch I am using a picture I clicked at Edinburgh in June. But a week later I would have an opportunity to click a few more pictures from Andman. Yes I am headed that way! For more skies from around the world please visit the Skywatch Page.

Floral Display by Action on Hearing Loss Charity, Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on September 18, 2011

I was quite mesmerized by this floral display at a public park at Edinburgh, Scotland. There were so many people around it in the evening that I had to request someone to give me a little space so that I could click a picture. The display had the name of the Charity ‘Action on…

Street Artists from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on August 16, 2011

The girl with the happy expressions is the tourist. The dead pan expressions belong to the street artists. The road along which attractions like the Edinburgh Castle and the Holyroodhouse Palace are located is called the royal mile. Posted on August 7, 2011

The glass structure at the railway station (actually not too far away from where these two men were standing) also caught my eye. Seems more fit to be in…

Braveheart Street Artist, Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on August 4, 2011

The Royal Mile at Edinburgh is full of street artists and some can attract quite a crowd. I also saw two people greeting each-other where one told the other, “Hi you professionally overqualified street beggar.” And then they affectionately went on to hug each-other! I wonder what makes these people tick? Why do they do it? Are they…

Edinburgh, Scotland- What a View!

Posted on August 1, 2011

Last time I was in UK it was November 2009, it was hard to spot anything green, what about flowers! This time, there are flowers all around. Here is another view from the hill near the hill from the Holyroodhouse at Edinburgh. I should have had more time, but then even a glimpse is better than…

Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh- On the Day of the Zara Philips-Mike Tindall Wedding

Posted on July 31, 2011

No I was not at Edinburgh today by any design, we were not even aware that the wedding for Zara Philips and Mike Tindall was taking place at the Holyroodhouse today. And in this post I am showing you only the venue of the wedding as that is what I have clicked. No I was…
