I saw a Small Minivet for the first time at Bharatpur. The male of the species is so colorful! As I just had one day at the park I decided to start early whereas Chhavi and Seshadri joined me later. Till that time I was walking without a guide. I did not spot this bird myself. There was a person clicking the bird and his partner sitting on the rickshaw. Looking at the commotion I too stopped and the guide pointed out the bird to me also which was kind of him.
The gentleman (who was not Indian) did not mind that his guide was including others in his find. The girl on the rickshaw kept saying she could not see the bird, so I showed it on my camera monitor. She quite liked my picture. I told her his friend might have a better one as he had a bigger zoom. So we chatted briefly about zooms. He said he had a 300mm but with a converter he got 420mm or so. I liked his picture more than mine. I think it is time I started looking for a converter for my lens as well!
Such a pretty little bird. It is interesting that our love of birds, or of cameras, can draw us into fleeting friendship with otherwise strangers. Like the little bird, these encounters make bright spots in our days.
U know am not such a gr8 fan of the flaura n fauna pics(thou it seems to be ma hubbs speciality too)… but the stories u weave into them makes them a v interesting read!
GW I 200% agree with you. Many thanks for stopping by.
Meena I will remember to weave a story before I post a bird picture 😀
