Skywatch Friday- Skies from Bangalore

Posted on August 27, 2010
Skies from Bangalore, ray of Light
Rays of Light, Bangalore

Thrilled to say that this is the featured photo for Skywatch today. After the traffic filled week, it just made my day to be featured. I clicked this picture on May 15, 2010 in Bangalore. I wish i had something better than the mobile towers as a frame for the sunset but have to do with what I had.

For more beautiful images of skies from around the world please visit the Skywatch Page.

I have come back to that picture about ten times now.
It has everything: mystery, exuberance, power, and thanks to the towers: modernity as well as an ageless quality. The sun’s rays and the invisible rays from the towers combine into something so powerful that I can’t get it out of my head. This picture is worth more that the proverbial 1000 words.
