Ross Island near Port Blair

Posted on October 27, 2011

Ross Island, Port Blair
Ross Island, Port Blair

This is the jetty to the Ross Island. There is a lot to say about the place. It used to be the British Capital of Andaman. It is now in ruins. We meet a fiery lady by the name of Anuradha who was our guide on this day. People say she has been coming daily to Ross Island for the last 40 years. They have deer on the Island and it is full of red cheeked bulbuls. I will write a more detailed post on the place once I come back from Manali!
