Superb…But were the warterfalls full during this time? Did you hike up any of the hills? For your info…There are local travel agents who arrange hike up the hills, which includes camping and also village stay. This tour is accompanied by a guide cum cook.

Saw your Picasa album of Coorg photos – beautiful place. I liked photos of Buddhist monastery – like sharp and vivid colors in their murals.

I checked out the album full of beautiful pictures. What is your personal opinion of Coorg? Did you like the place and was the trip worthwhile?

Ajeya, this was wonderful trip indeed and we climbed only the Brahamgiri Hill near Tala Cauvery but all in all enjoyed it a lot, more so because it was unexpected.Cindy, thanks. Hope you will get to see a few places when you come to Bangalore. Thanks Atul, but I still can’t get over the fact that you visited Jamaica! Must have been some trip.Sidhu, I am not so sure about the popular part but definite about the lucky part. 2007 has been one hell of a year travel wise and even otherwise.Indica, I love to travel so much that I have to like something about every trip. This one was special for its own reasons, like meeting fellow bloggers and the wonderful food.

Jamaica trip was wonderful. It’s a beautiful island country with incredibly lush green and tall mountains – beautiful beaches and great food (especially, sea food). However, I still believe that among all the island countries and places (I have been to few in Caribbean and Pacific) – Hawaii is numero uno (esp. islands of Kauai, Molokai and North Shore of Oahu).
