More Green Bee Eating Birds

Green Bee Eating Bird

Green Bee Eating Birds are really common in my area. So I often do not photograph them. But then this time Brat 1 kept insisting that you try and catch one in flight. I told him it usually takes a few hours to get a shot like that. But he was not to be deterred. So, I tried. Of course I got a lot of shots where the birds refused to fly!

It is so Colorful!

I obviously tried a few more time, as Brat 1 kept insisting try and let us see what happens. I got tempted when I saw a bird not flying away and would keep going closer. And eventually I managed a shot of the Green Bee Eating Bird, not exactly in flight but about to land and a little different from the others. So here it is.

About to Land

Thanks Tarun, went out in broad daylight after your low light comment on the Long Tailed Shrike.

Chitra all thanks to Brat 1.

Yes Anu I agree, without him I would not even have tried.

    Thanks Dehradun.

Lovely shots – I recently captured this bird on a wire first, and then on a tree because it looked so unusual and beautiful. I didn’t know its name and googled images of green small bird, and that is how I landed up here. Good that I did – your capture of the bird in flight is beautiful.
