Lazy Sunday Photo- Flower Shop Owner with an Attitude!

Posted on January 11, 2009
Flower Shop, Bangalore

I am very hesitant to photograph people for the fear of giving them offense. So I was clicking pictures of the flowers at the shop (Gandhi Bazaar, Bangalore) when we noticed that the gentleman had taken out a 1000 rupee note and was pointing it to my camera. I, of course, was very happy to oblige!

I wonder what he was thinking when he did that! Interesting. 🙂 I am like you – I don’t take many pictures of people because I don’t want to offend them. Especially in places like the Peruvian highlands, and with the Maasai etc, the people looked so stunning, but I wasn’t sure they would like being photographed. I envy those who can pull it off. 🙂

I don’t think so Doli, there were quite a few foreigners in the area with bigger cameras! And I looked like a shopper to the core!

It’s a journey through your words. I like it. Keep on going.
