Knife on the Beach!

Posted on January 15, 2009
Knife at Surathkal Beach

If you ask me what was this knife doing at the Surathkal Beach, your guess is as good as mine. I do have a theory about it but it would be fun to read your views first!

Very ornate knife too! Maybe it is ancient, and was lost here in a duel hundreds of years ago, and the shifting sands brought it over to the surface … can actually get carried away with ideas for this .. 😉

Once upon a time, while traveling in Guatemala, a friend and I came upon a machete in the grass at a park. It scared us when we saw it. We were the only people in the park, as far as we could see. We left it there and left the park!

Looks like a multipurpose knife.. probably used in some crime? What did you do? Clean it and take it home? handed it over to police? or left it there? beware… you might be charged with attempt to hide crime evidence.. he he….

Somebody used it to prise open the seal of a bottle that contained a message, and then was so excited to read the contents of the message that they forgot the knife there 😀

lol…your readers definitely have a great sense of imagination!I am thinking it is a utilitarian knife used to make broom sticks from coconut tree branches.

    1. There was shop there earlier in the day, the guy moved to some other place and the knife was left behind.2. The travelling vendor dropped it there.

I think it is from a fisherman or some local vendor.

She threw the knife accidentally away!
