Colorful Truck Art

Colorful Truck Art

This truck again asks us to ‘horn please.’ The art on this one is quite colorful and instantly caught my eye. The Hindi line says, “Think really hard what would you take away when you leave this world.” What do you say to that?
I liked the colors on the back so much that I deliberately followed it up to the red light so that I could click a picture. I would have been very disappointed if the light was already green, because then the truck would not have stopped and I would have not been able to click the picture. I have to admit that it was one of the rare occasions when I decided to crawl behind a slow moving vehicle but then it was so colorful that I had to take a picture.

That one is really colorful. Its not uncommon to see trucks being decorated in this manner, it is even with the buses. Something relates to our culture.Interestingly, no matter how the truckers drive, the quotes behind the trucks can leave you thinking or even scratching your heads. Have you ever read it behind a blueline bus in Delhi "Aa to yun hi chalegi' which means this will move like this only.

I have to say it is the first truck art picture I am seeing. Very cool and quick thinking on your part to take the picture.

That guy must have spent some money commissioning that painting on his truck. It hints at the owner's taste and attitude. Maybe it also depicts what he yearns for.Another point, ;o) if he had put a (c) on the picture would you have clicked it?

Your response got me interested in Copyright laws. I did a bit of reading. As far as I understand now, as soon as a work is created a copyright comes into place, it need not be specifically registered. So in this case, the work on the back of the truck was copyrighted.A photograph of a picture is a derivative work and the copyright of the original author extends to such works. Photographs of historical building may not be copyrighted because (1) The copyright rules for architecture are different and (2) The copyright period may be over.In India mainly an infringement is considered when the purpose is basically for trade. I shall read more. This was to generate some thought. :oD

Wonderful! The behinds of trucks, I think, have all wisdom that one needs in life. The design in this case is a really detailed one. Wonder what the artist earned for that apart from the appreciation. And I really don't have the answer to the question. Will share once I knoew 🙂

Kelly my fear is that it will gradually get washed away due to the rains and weather in general as this truck would get parked at all odd places. 🙁
