Madhu Malti Flowers

Chinese Honeysuckle or Malti Flowers

Posted on April 25, 2012April 26, 2025

Clicked these Chinese Honeysuckles (also called Madhu Malti or Rangoon Creeper) in my backyard. What the eyes saw, could capture only a fraction of it in my picture. But they are still a pretty bunch, aren’t they? Also on more backyard update there is a purple sunbird nest and a tailor bird nest in the henna and a small mango tree respectively. As I did not get out in April pictures are a bit slow to come by. Hopefully this would be rectified in May.

    Hi,

Lovely flowers and a lovely name too. We used to have a creeper with white flowers and a heady smell. It entwined our house and gave lots of problems in rainy season, We had to cut it down. I was very sad that day!

I like your blog very much, the travel writing is very informative. Thanks.

BTW, were you active on Blog Bharati?

    Dear Mridula,

You are a super gardener! Please give me give me some advice on my Madhu Malti? It has beautiful foliage but alas no flowers. I have planed it in a huge pot and it has kindly clambered up to the first floor evenBut it does not give blossoms. Help.

    Thanks
