I know this could have been anywhere! But just to give you some idea I took this one on a flight from Dubai to Manchester in November 2009. After this I have taken only one more flight, from Delhi to Bangalore but I have acquired a new past time now, to click pictures of the…

Indian Pond Heron in Flight
Sometimes I wonder why do I even bother to click birds! They fly away at the slightest of the movement, they would not let you come close and my zoom would not let me click them from too far away. I miss the days when I was content with clicking flowers. I also feel I…
Indian Pond Herons
Wish I had more zoom, and I think by the end of this month I will buy a new camera with a lot of zoom. I am busy with writing about the data that I gathered from those 196 195 country links that I mentioned in the previous post.
A Religious Procession
Saw this last week sometime on my way to office. There were quite a few people walking on a really hot summer day to somewhere! There were hardly any women in this lot, if I think of it probably none. Talking about hot days, it rained here today and the weather is quite pleasant.
Lazy Sunday Photo- Red Wattled Lapwing
Where did I find these Red Wattled Lapwings? Near the car park of my workplace!
Brahminy Kite!
The Brahminy Kite was actually flying quite low near a lake in Bangalore when I clicked this picture. They would dip their claws in the water and then start flying upwards again. This one was coming down to make a swoop at the fish in the water. But I never saw them catching any fish.
Friday Flowers- A Bouquet full of Roses
Clicked this one too at Jayanagar, Bangalore. The florist had some real stunning arrangements.
Skywatch Friday- The Komik Monastery and the Sky
This is a picture taken in 2007 at Komik, Spiti. Looking at the Spiti skies, I need to go there once again. For more pictures of the sky from around the world, please visit the Skywatch page.
More Truck Art
An appeal to Lord Shiva in Hindi at the back of the truck. “Lord Shiva don’t forget me, don’t abandon my truck, don’t go far away.” By any chance do they mean Delhi to Chennai and not Cinniye? And after a long time I saw a colorful truck too.
The Litchi Boy!
Truth be told, I saw this heap of Litchi on my way back from work in the evening. It is a 31km long commute on the Indian roads. Those of you who live here, you know what I am talking about. Those of you who don’t you have to see it to believe it! And…
