Brat 2 and I just came back from Bundi in Rajasthan. I picked up the wrong month to go, it was way too hot and yet when did that stop us from enjoying ourselves?
PS. I found the name via a comment left by Rocksea and then to make double sure through google image search. But the comment seems to have vanished.
Nice Capture! Bundi … umm … is it famous for something? The name rings a bell but I'm not able to recall ๐
that is a wonderful photograph! i like the way the heron is sitting on the leaf, and i like the way you photographed the withered leaf along with it.
Nice picture…..but you said that you chose the wrong month…in which month did you visit there??
I have yet to visit Rajasthan.May be early winter.Lets see.
My friend and I are planning to have a China tour this October, we might drop by India and check this out. http://www.ritztours.com offers really affordable China tour travels, and they have destinations to India too.
Wow! What an amazing pic. Almost like a painting!
This is one particular shot where Zoom comes extremely handy

hey Mridula, where are you? it's been 3 days since I saw a post ๐
Very nice picture of the Indian pond heron…the plummage suggests it is in the breeding season…the water on the lotus leaf takes the icing on the cake…in the reflection of the sunlight it looks like a thin plastic film :-)Very nice indeed!!Sankarahttp://sankaracs.blogspot.com
Thatโs gorgeous! I hope Iโll be able to visit rajasthan soon, Iโve heard so many great things about it.

Such a placid lake–the bird must be very light to not sink the lotus leaf–no?
