More from the Road But Unfortunately the Commuting Road!

Posted on May 13, 2010

I clicked this picture for the words in white on the green strip. I have not seen these on a truck before, “No Whisky, No War, Only Payar” (payar means love in Hindi and Whiskey is what they mean). How is that for a truckers philosophy? If you look closely you would notice that the…

What I See is What I can Post

Posted on May 11, 2010

Sometimes I feel that most of the things I see, I see from a moving car! And most of the landscape is quite full of construction dust at the moment. And the weather quite hot. In this scenario, the tree in the picture above is a very familiar one for me. I often stop at the…

The Purple Sunbird

Posted on May 10, 2010

I see purple sunbirds almost everyday. It is another matter that I have yet to manage a decent picture. I thought I will post some of the pictures that have. Maybe posting these pictures will break the spell! And the next time I will manage a better one.

Birds Around My Home

Posted on May 8, 2010

I was quite amazed to see the Oriental White Eye in the Backyard today! Not a great capture but this is all I could manage. And there was not just one but two of them jumping around in the tree! I hope they come back again tomorrow and I manage to capture a better shot….

Posted on May 7, 2010

I clicked this one at Lancaster. I wonder if that long stem is a kind of cactus flower? On a different note, I would be in Bangalore late next week. I hope to take a new stock of pictures. But this is more of a family visit than travel but then I always manage to…

Skywatch Friday- Skies from Demul, Spiti

Posted on May 7, 2010

Since I have not been traveling for sometime now, I realize what beautiful sky the Spiti region in Himachal Pradesh has. If you get a chance, head there, it is highly recommended. For more skies from around the world, please visit the Skywatch page.

A Little Sunshine

Posted on May 6, 2010

Took this picture at Jim Corbett National Park. One of those photos that looks better at full size. Sometimes when I look back at the pictures I believe I hardly spend time with them. I had no recollection of this one at all, as if I had seen it for the first time.

I like it!

I guess they could not have picked up black and white drycleaners! Whitewhite seems fine!

Another One from the Morning Commute

Posted on May 4, 2010

I have become lazy about clicking pictures on the road. But this one was so crowded I had to click. I wonder how far they were going like this!
