A Religious Procession

Posted on June 7, 2010

Saw this last week sometime on my way to office. There were quite a few people walking on a really hot summer day to somewhere! There were hardly any women in this lot, if I think of it probably none. Talking about hot days, it rained here today and the weather is quite pleasant.

Lazy Sunday Photo- Red Wattled Lapwing

Posted on June 6, 2010

Where did I find these Red Wattled Lapwings? Near the car park of my workplace!

Brahminy Kite!

Posted on June 5, 2010

The Brahminy Kite was actually flying quite low near a lake in Bangalore when I clicked this picture. They would dip their claws in the water and then start flying upwards again. This one was coming down to make a swoop at the fish in the water. But I never saw them catching any fish.

Posted on June 4, 2010

Clicked this one too at Jayanagar, Bangalore. The florist had some real stunning arrangements.

The Litchi Boy!

Posted on June 2, 2010

Truth be told, I saw this heap of Litchi on my way back from work in the evening. It is a 31km long commute on the Indian roads. Those of you who live here, you know what I am talking about. Those of you who don’t you have to see it to believe it! And…

My World Tuesday- Soft Toys on the Pavement of Bangalore

Posted on June 1, 2010

I was in Bangalore for a week (also known as the IT hub of India) and went to the local market called Jayanagar. Pavements of such markets are full of vendors selling their stuff. This heap of soft toys were also there. I changed the angle of the camera to get the motorbikes surrounding the…

Plastic in a Bird’s Nest

Posted on May 31, 2010

And I am not blaming the birds, they have to use what they get, be it plastic to make their nests.

Purple Sunbird

Posted on May 30, 2010

Managed to get closer shots of the Purple Sunbird! It has been teasing me for such a long time! Managed one more today so I thought I will add one more photo of the sunbird.
