Ashy prinia Again and What a Beauty They Are!

Posted on January 16, 2010

Ashy Prinia
Another round of backyard photography while Chhavi was sleeping in the afternoon. After Common Chiffchaff they are the second kind which let me creep quite close. When they fly that close they make quite a sound! However the Indian Robin still has not declared me harmless and flies away as soon as I try to creep in and raise my camera.

I love the look in the eyes in both the pictures. I have to thank Sandeep for the tip that I need to focus on the eyes of the bird sometimes.

Ashy Prinia They Look so Beautiful
I have started taking more interest in birds after I acquired the 70-300mm lens. The closer look makes me appreciate them like never before. One of my friend’s was saying once that I actually need to see things more with my eyes than through the lens. But as of now I am enjoying the experience behind the lens. Here is a video of them that I found on Youtube. It is cute.
