It is fun to watch how protective birds get around their eggs. We had pigeons lay eggs on our balcony and they would not leave them alone for weeks until they hatched and the little ones were big enough to fly.

Contrary to what Gurgaon is made to appear – A concrete jungle. I see the real jungle (read green) also at many of my friends' staying there. You too seem to have a nice habitat 🙂 What bird, any idea ?

this doves' nest seems neat. doves are usually the laziest nest-builders. are these jungle doves or the common ones?

Megha I think that is the camera angle only. It is a small egg otherwise.Rocksea, the common dove.

We have tree frogs that live around our front door and each night they come out to eat insects in the light. I love watching them. I like having a little daily contact with another species and I feel very protective of them.
