The Golf Course at Gulmarg, March 2013

And the Wait is Over!

Posted on March 6, 2013May 18, 2021

Finally I get to travel! And that says it all! I am not traveling to a beach destination, it is in fact mountains again. I hope to log in from Gulmarg but let us see. I have been amazed at my own response to this lack of travel and the capacity to sulk that I demonstrated. I have often told myself- ki life mein pasand aya tou kya aya, travel? I mean what purpose does it serves?

But then reading mountaineering books gives me hope. People who climb continuously keep asking “why do they climb” without ever giving a definitive answer. So I will be content traveling even though I will probably never understand why do I crave for it so much?

Wow! Thats so gud…waiting for ur next post about the next destination! And as for mountains, I think people who are into treks feel more than just the love of mountaineering. Its about pushing yourself higher & higher…and a sense of achievement & victory over obstacles. Here’s something I thought about trekking…

I for one, never find myself short of reasons to travel. I believe it is relaxing – doesn’t matter that the job isn’t stressful, it helps me think – about planning the next trip…and so on.
The itch starts on Thursday and I get to travel depending on whether it is the first or the fifth of the month. 🙂
