A Typical Indian Dhaba

Posted on November 20, 2009
A Dhaba at Bundi

I had tea even though it was scorching hot in September. Brat 2 had both cold drink and tea!

its list of eatables. so tikia can not be 'soap bar'. 'tikiya' is round shapped potato stuffing generally eaten with bread or peas masala.

Mridula I agree with Shrinidhi. A typical Indian Dhaba is a place where trucks stop. A place for truck drivers to have meals and rest for a while. A typical feature of a dhaba is a lot of charpais in front.

Thanks a lot for the great India Dhaba debate 😀 This was not on the road side but insdie a park hence the missing cots but was very much Dhaba style.
