A Jugad or Chakda as it is Known in Gujarat

A Chakda or a Chhakda known as Jugad in North India

I actually wanted to take a still photograph but my camera was in movie mode. So I ended up capturing these few seconds of Chakda from our moving vehicle in Gujarat. Towards the end, I think the people on the Chakda were aware that we were taking pictures.

Good one… remember seeing phat -phati in Delhi a few years back ,it had a roof and only 4 could travel in that Matchless motorcycle mystique contraption. But this one beats that hollow with so many people packed in it. 🙂 Incredible India!!!

Mridula, thank you for sharing the small things that make up India. Like this Chakda…

I smiled with your attempt to take a photo while in movie mode… very familiar to any backpacker… click and the moments gone, then all you’ve got is a little silly clip :)…. anyway, very helpful since it’s up here. Thanks.
