Read this on Arun’s blog–
I was browsing through Rediff News this morning and was going through a story on Cherrapunjee. In their multi-page slideshow, I clicked on the second page and jumped when the page loaded. A picture of a waterfall I had taken at Cherrapunjee was smiling at me from the web page! Rediff had not only posted the image without my permission, they had also attributed the photograph to a “Sunil Bhatia!”
You know what I hate about such incidents? That you almost always discover your own pictures being used by accident and then you wonder how many you didn’t discover?
Thank you for the support and the blog post, Mridula. All the extra attention to the issue must have worked..
I agree that it got resolved quickly and I am glad for Arun.
Its been sorted mridula..Rediff called him and apologised and agreed to compensate him and attribute the pucture to him ..Apparently another photographer had claimed it is his picture..Arun just posted the update on his blog
Once again…….Salute to crusaders against plagiarism
Good to know it is resolved so fast…
