Wild Flowers, Shillong

Wild Flowers at Shillong

Posted on April 28, 2013May 17, 2021

It was not a lazy Sunday really. I am currently visiting Guwahati and Shillong but for work. Today was the day off so we went up to Cherrapunji (now known as Sohra). On the way we visited Shillong View Point but it was a overcast day. I did click a few pictures of the city but I will share it later.

However I loved the carpet of wildflowers that were growing near the view point railing.

With that I am calling it a day. It has been a long one and tomorrow I have work at Guwahati. But I have loads to write from Sri Lanka as well as Shillong. So do stay tuned.

Your picture brings back so many memories of Shillong. Somehow, I always feel Shillong was much more beautiful in the past…things have changed so much today. Hope to read/see more posts and pictures.

went upto to shillong some years ago and while it had all the trappings of a hillstation in india… the crowd, the mall road, the chaos, the mess… there was something so lovely about it… and so ancient, hidden in corners, we chanced upon cafes and took part in the much-heard-about-shillong live music scene!

    have a great trip!
