I had to dig the archives to find a picture for today’s sky watch and the best place to dig is my Everest Base Camp Trek folder. I am looking forward to May 2013 when I can go and trek in Nepal again. Nothing fixed yet (way too early I guess) but I do want to go.
And whenever I look at this picture I kick myself. There was so much happening. It was early in the morning, there was water on the ground that was catching light, there was a big peak ahead and all I could capture was this! I like it still but it is not a patch on what the eyes saw.
Do check out the Sky Watch page for some amazing sky pictures. Better still share your own.
I captured this picture at Pheriche in Nepal. If you wish to see more of my Everest Base Camp Trek pictures please have a look at Rediff Get Ahead Slide Show.
This entry is part of Skywatch which features sky picures from all over the world every Friday.
I still remember this moment quite clearly. We were walking back from Pheriche to Namche on the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal. It was still quite early in the day and I was not yet tired. I also had no inkling that it was going to be an eleven hour day before we reached Namche.
I was walking quite engrossed in my own thoughts. I was thinking that there are clouds in the sky today, I wonder if it would rain. On this trek I was quite lucky there was not a single drop of rain anywhere. And suddenly I noticed it is not all clouds there was a peak looking at the valley through the clouds! My jaws dropped in amazement. Thought of sharing it with you all.
