Don’t go by the color of the water, this is a ditch in the neighborhood where lapwings are a regular feature. I have observed that these birds lay their eggs on the ground and if by mistake if you start walking that way, they scream and scream.
Looks like this egret got a bit dirty after taking a dip in the ditch water.
I get to see a lot of Mynas. Like this pictures because it felt like they were sitting on a swing.
And here was an Eurasian Collared Dove peacefully going about its business.
And finally even though this is not a bird I see them so often. And I know it is eating rice because someone had left cooked rice for the birds and squirrels on this wall.
The Egrets were not too bothered about me today. They were letting me get quite close to get a half way decent shot.
