Scenery at Lonawala

Of all the posts I did about Della Adventure, I mostly focused on the place. I have to add that the scenery was quite beautiful too. If it would not have been quite hot and my trip so hectic, I would have actually liked to go on a short trek or on bike. But that was not to be this time.

This picture for a change has been taken at sunrise!

    nice capture Mridula.

Lonawala is heavenly during Monsoons. i have never been to that place but passed from there when traveling by train on Mumbai/Hyderabad route. train gets very slow when passing through Lonavala/Khandala ghats. this give passengers enough time, about 30+ minuets, to soak in beautiful scenery.

i still remember 3/Aug, 12 year back, i was traveling, in the AC tier for the the first time in my life, along with 10+ colleagues. it was evening and drizzling, clouds passing by at touching distance, all felt so wonderful. after that also went couple of times on that route but never in monsoons.

Nilesh another friend who lives in Mumbai told me the same that the place is awesome during the monsoons. I could not do justice to the birds that were present. Could hardly click anything. Let us see if I return there.
