Street Food from Daryaganj Book Market

We went to Dayraganj Sunday Book Market today. I was thinking to take pictures and not too much about buying the books. But it was so crowded and with Chhavi along, all I could take pictures with was my cell phone camera. These were cookies sold on the road side. The brown ones in the plate are piping hot, straight from the clay oven. Unfortunately we did not try it out. It was so crowded. More cell phone pictures soon.

Tarun will remember this the next time 🙁

Meena and I still did not try it out!

Akhila, I am finding it increasingly difficult to stomach it though, street food.

Atul that is Nan Khatai and not tikki 😀

Appu 😀 Good that you enjoy all that. 😀

Great! Good to hear that, I guess Indian food is quite popular in some countries?

Seen link on DPS…Camera Lust post.
A very good shot and from a cell phone too.
That pic totally sums up why I have to visit India some day.

I’m in England, UK. Okay, we probably have more Indian restaurants here than there are in India. However, I think to really appreciate the range and diversity of food in India, you really do – I think – need to be in India. I dream a dream that one day I will visit and decide for myself if this is true. But I’m sure it is.

    Nice shot…makes my tummy rumble.
