Green Bee Eating Birds

Bee Eating Birds
A Merry Group

Found these three green bee eating birds on a water pipe. They seem to be having a good time, even though it was the same hot afternoon where I had clicked the pictures posted on the last two days. I as usual tried inching closer after I had used the maximum zoom available on the 70-300mm lens.

Now We are Only Two!

The result of my trying to inch closer was just two birds! And when I tried to take one more step all the three had flown a little distanceĀ ahead.

Nice ones! I have seen many of these birds, but always from a distance, and when I havent had my camera along…these are nice pics…… i remembered vaguely a nursery rhyme we used to sing about three birds on a tree and then one flies away and then there are two… and then one more flies away… and so on… do you know this???

Anu unfortunately no, I do not know the rhyme.

Doli, I too started noticing them quite recently, since I got my zoom lens. šŸ˜€

Tarun, how come you are not posting anything on your blogs?
