Is it a kind of Cactus Flower?

I clicked this one at Lancaster. I wonder if that long stem is a kind of cactus flower?

On a different note, I would be in Bangalore late next week. I hope to take a new stock of pictures. But this is more of a family visit than travel but then I always manage to take pictures.
