Friday Flowers- Pink Rain Lily

Pink Rain Lily

Clicked this one while Chhavi was playing outside. Suddenly noticed the insect and decided to fetch the camera. Since the Pink Rain Lilies grow in our own garden (if I can call it so) I really do not get excited about then often.

    Thanks Tarun.

Fida I am sure you still have a few plants if not a garden?

    Thanks Anu.

    Mridula,
In case you are interested, the botanical name of this is: Zephyranthes (species: carinata).
Zephyranthes grow in abundance after the rains in the Himalayan region too. I recall reading a book years back by Anita Desai in which she makes a reference to these flowers blooming overnight in the mountains after the rains.
