Brahminy Kite!

Brahminy Kite in Flight

The Brahminy Kite was actually flying quite low near a lake in Bangalore when I clicked this picture. They would dip their claws in the water and then start flying upwards again. This one was coming down to make a swoop at the fish in the water. But I never saw them catching any fish.

Why Brahminy? Is it of Indian origin?

Agree with Sunita about the fishes being smart 🙂
And lemme guess, the lake was Ulsoor!
