Lazy Sunday Photo- Orchids From Bangkok

Orchids are exotic for me as I hardly get to see them in my day to day life. They are found in plenty in Bangkok, so I had a gala time clicking them.

I saw them at the hotels I stayed in. But what fascinated me most was that I found them growing beside every home on a coconut tree in a coconut shell. Now I only wonder why I never clicked them!

  1. These Flowers are found in Plenty in Assam during March-April which is the starting of Assamese new year and they have a special significance in Bihu–The Traditional festival of Assamese and I love them very much..

  2. Orchids are very colorful. I visit Orchid show every year to see different types round the world.

I see the lighting is not adequate in your pic, did you use flash?

I am Mridula Dwivedi and I started blogging on 'Travel Tales from India' in June 2005. Within a few months of the launch my travel blog found a mention on both theย BBC and The Guardian. I also featured in a National Geographic Skoda Yeti Video.

I quit my job as a professor in May 2015. I am having a blast ever since. I do not miss my work but sometime I do miss my salary! Somewhere along the journey I ended up acquiring a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur! I now wonder why?
