Chhavi’s favorites past time in evening is to go to the park. Once inside swings are her preferred destination. While we were walking in I noticed a beautiful butterfly on the hedge. Once I safely deposited her on the swing and pushed her high, I asked her if I could go (my house is 10 steps away) and bring out the camera. Her highness going high on the swing somehow agreed.

It was only after looking at the pictures on my laptop I realized there were two butterflies. Chhavi clicked a few pictures with my cell phone. As soon as I am reasonably confident that she will not drop a camera, I am buying her one. And what a bliss it is to have a holiday.

  1. Perfect looking shot. Usually, photographing butterflies takes a long time as they keep hoping from 1 place to another. You need lot of patience to shoot. Glad you got this picture perfect shot.

    1. Rajesh the little bit of bird photography I have done, I know how difficult it is. One of the times when I just got lucky.

Travel Tales from India & Abroad

I am Mridula Dwivedi and I started blogging on 'Travel Tales from India' in June 2005. I renamed it Travel Tales from India & Abroad in 2016. Within a few months of the launch my travel blog found a mention on both the BBC and The Guardian. I also featured in a National Geographic Skoda Yeti Video. I was recently featured on Via.com

I quit my job as a professor in May 2015. I am having a blast ever since. I do not miss my work but sometime I do miss my salary! Somewhere along the journey I ended up acquiring a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur! I now wonder why?
