Zulu Dance at the Durban Airport, INDABA 2013

By Mridula Dwivedi May 11, 2013 14 Comments , ,

I arrived at the Durban Airport dead tired. And you cannot blame me. I first took a flight from Delhi to Mumbai which landed there around 7.00 pm. Then at 2.am I tool the Mumbai Johannesburg flight. Reached Johannesburg at around 7.00 am (South Africa time) and then took a 11. 00 am flight. By now my mind was a mess, till I saw this Zulu dance the airport which was for the delegates attending INDABA 2013.

I am looking forward to INDABA (which literally means a conference, originates from Zulu word meaning ‘a matter for discussion’). And I used to think that INDABA is an acronym

A Zulu Dance at the Durban Airport

Enjoy the dance and the energy while I go and enjoy some sleep. I am so looking forward to my South Africa trip!

  1. Looks like the jhinga lala dances that we have seen in our typical Hindi movies.
I am sure it must have been better since it is the real thing not a copy.

  2. WOW, what amazing synchronization they have, and the beats are fast, I loved their dance, full of energy and enthu. People for IDABA will be charged up before discussion 🙂

I did a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur ages ago!
