With Chhavi photography takes a back seat. So on day two I woke up early and decided to devote two hours to taking pictures. The light played spoilsport though. On day one when we had just arrived and looking for a hotel at 7.00 am or so there was golden light. On day two there were clouds and pale sky around the same time.
I was sitting quietly thinking of taking a picture when two people walked in. In earnest they started offering their prayers taking no notice of me and my camera. And it turned out to be one of those occasions when I could not resist including people in my frame. As I have said before, I rarely include people in my photos but when I do I make sure it was clicked in public. In the background you can see Laxman Jhula (that is the name of the bridge) faintly.
A perfect FRAME….
Its been years since Ive been here, and your pics evoke so many memories…. and i guess the pic is rather apt, since the bulk of the crowd at rishikesh goes there on the basis of faith, not travel or an urge to see more of the country!
Rishikesh – the start of Himalyan region.
The guy in the photo seems to be easing himself..but yes Rishikesh is a captivating place….and when I went there for rafting..lights did played spoilsport..
This is an excellent picture… I think adding people in photos (even if they’re photos of landscapes) makes a photo more “interesting”.
