Took this shot of Jal Mahal and the surroundings while I was coming back from the Nahargarh Fort after taking the sunset picture. Another picture which is possible because I used a tripod. There was a couple trying the same shot using a huge boulder as a base. I too have tried such stuff in the past but I was glad I had my tripod.
The only thing is a tripod attracts more attention. When I took it out opposite Hawa Mahal, so many people came and chatted with me, mostly asking if I am a professional photographer! How I wish I could say I was! But my Hawa Mahal night shots have not come out too well. Let us see, I think I will go back to Jaipur again sometime. But I do have a lot of day pictures of Hawa Mahal to share.
waiting for Hawa Mahal night shot photo.. have never seen one
A beautiful sight Mridula!
To complement, the height gives the extra good feeling. I have a few evening shots too, and night shots of Hawa Mahal as well (1 posted on my blog recently).
lovely, now i need to buy a tripod
beautiful shot. but its not exactly night. right ? i mean i see some light and can see the color of grass bed, jal mahal and large building (near the bottom). it must be late evening, 6PMish, perfect time to capture such shot.
It looks like a bejeweled spot. Beautiful.
Stunning Photo!
I became a butt of joke when I carried a tripod with my new Canon Point and Shoot way back in feb 2009, yes they do invite attention…however
nice shot..using it as my wallpaper
Will post soon Shrinidhi.
Thanks for sharing your pics Celine Hawa Mahal is such a delight!
Lakshmi 😀 Only people think you are a pro if you use tripod and try to chat!
Nilesh thank you. At 6.00 I was still at Nahargarh so this is definitely past 6.00 pm. I thought of writing dusk as the time but then it was beyond dusk! 😀
Thanks Chitra for the description.
Thanks Anil.
Thanks Tarun, I too will use it as my wall paper soon!
wow so beautiful! My camera doesnt do night shots that well 🙁
Doli try with a tripod or put the camera on a flat surface and use the timer to click so there is no shake when you press the shutter. 😀
The pitfall with using a timer Mridula, if you’re not already aware, is that it doesnt allow you to work the exposure speed, so essential for night shots!
very nice…i like it….
keep sharing 🙂
